Job Description

HEICO Repair Group Aerostructures is currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager. In this position, the Purchasing Manager will lead and manage all purchasing activities. This role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating and procuring parts and materials to support the repair and overhaul of aircraft structural components.



Key Responsibilities:


- Manage all procurement activities for aircraft structural components and related materials.


- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with approved vendors and suppliers to ensure quality, price, and timely delivery.


- Maintain compliance with FAA regulations, OEM standards and internal quality requirements in all purchasing activities.


- Develop and maintain supplier relationships, monitor performance and resolve quality or delivery issues.


- Review repair requirements and ensure necessary materials and consumables are procured on schedule.


- Manage inventory levels to balance availability with cost efficiency.


- Collaborate with production and quality teams to forecast parts and materials needed.


- Prepare purchase orders and agreements in line with company policies.


- Identify cost-saving opportunities.


- Generate reports and metrics regarding purchasing performance and vendor compliance.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of purchasing / procurement experience with at least 2 years in aviation or aerospace (MRO / Repair Station experience highly desirable).


Strong knowledge of aircraft structures and component repair materials, consumables, and parts.


Familiarity with FAA regulations, EASA requirements and industry quality standards.


Proven negotiation and contract management skills.


Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and management teams.


Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.


Ability to work prolonged periods of time on a computer.


Ability to operate office equipment


Ability to navigate repair shop, warehouse, or receiving areas including wearing required PPE when necessary.
