A Brief Overview

The Truss Location Manager is responsible for all aspects of truss manufacturing. Plans and controls budget. Responsible for inventory control and ensuring equipment is calibrated and maintained for reliability. Creates and implements a layout for the plant to optimize inventory flow. Determines the materials, supplies, machinery, equipment, and tools to be used. Manages inventory for lumber and hardware. Conducts safety and quality training for all associates; maintains a safe environment. Assesses and manages employee productivity and efficiency. Typically manages locations with revenue up to $50M annually.

What you will do
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Oversees the day-to-day business operations, including maintaining inventory levels aligned with commercial priorities and ensuring the conversion of raw materials into finished goods.
  • Prepare daily production plans.
  • Develops and manages the budget, track costs, and identifies opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety standards.
  • Manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, shipping, and quality control.
  • Ensure all products are properly stored and handled in accordance with industry standards.
  • Schedules production activities to meet long-range supply planning objectives.
  • Understands how to perform every position in the plant efficiently and correctly.
  • Corrects all quality issues and develops solutions to prevent them.
  • Adheres to established safety rules and regulations and follows all safety procedures, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Mentors and develops associates to promote improved performance and achieve career objectives, ensuring workforce is trained and developed to meet current and future needs.

Experience Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of truss manufacturing, distribution, logistics. Strong knowledge of industry and management methodologies with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience with digital and automation solutions for manufacturing operations.

Licenses and Certifications
