The Electrical/Electronic Specialist troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains electronic equipment, which may include components of the nurse call, security, building automation, patient portal, and other systems. The Electrical/Electronic Specialist also maintains electronic door mechanisms and other non-clinical equipment;
repairs, tests and maintains Fire Alarm Systems and the Fire Sprinkler system and other life safety systems including emergency generators and electrical switchgear; assists with new installations, modifications, and temporary measures of life safety systems; has a strong understanding of all statutory regulations and codes pertaining to Fire Alarm systems and other life safety systems and devices; and maintains accurate and up to date records of all tests for The Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies.

* Installs and repairs any and all electrical components and systems in an efficient and timely manner.
* Performs preventative maintenance on a multitude of types of electrical equipment.
* Installs and monitors performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.
* Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
* Reads and updates electrical panel schedules.
* Repairs and maintains motor control centers and programmable logic controls (1000 volt and below).
* Documents the inspection, repair and other technical activities.
* Maintains and repairs Life Safety components and systems.
* Performs preventative maintenance on the Fire Alarm systems along with a multitude of types of Life Safety devices.
* Receives and completes work orders in a timely manner. Maintains an accurate and up to date record of all work completed.
* Working around equipment in a safe and orderly manner. Wearing the proper personal protective equipment as necessary. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
* Works with various contractors to ensure that service is completed in a timely manner and as intended.
Minimum Qualifications

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience
- Six years related electrical/electronic experience
- Equivalency
- Four years apprenticeship will be accepted in place of trade school certification.
- Licenses & Certifications
- Relevant four year trade school certification such as National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Electrical Power Testing - Level IV certification or NICET Fire Alarm Systems - Level IV certification. Current State of Colorado Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Hourly Range: $31.24 to $46.86
