As an Equipment Operator with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, you will be integral to maintaining the safety and efficiency of our roadways, particularly during the demanding winter months when snow removal is crucial. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Shifts may vary: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM; 4:00 PM to 12:00 midnight or 12:00 midnight to 8:00 AM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• This position may require overtime as needed.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Successful completion of the Transportation Equipment Operator Trainee Program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Graduation from a Commercial Driver's License Training School; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License with the Air Brake Restriction (L) removed.
• Must possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

• A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
