| Job Description POSITION OVERVIEW  This role provides HSE leadership and strategic direction to the site. Responsible for leading the Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) and Serious Environmental Incident (SEI) prevention strategies and ensuring implementation of the site's Environment & Safety Management System (ESMS). Provides support and technical assistance in the administration of and compliance with federal, state, local, and company HSE and Security requirements.  Drives SIF/SEI prevention through integration of Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles at the facilityServes as the primary point of contact and resource for health, safety, environmental and security issuesRepresents the Site during Regional/Cluster HSE functionsStays abreast of regulatory changes that may impact the facilityEnsures completion and accuracy of all required regulatory Environmental & Safety reports for the facilityLeads compliance assurance efforts by facilitating frequent HSE self-assessments and tracks corrective action plans to completionProvides leadership, direction, and prioritization for site HSE objectives as part of the annual planning processMentors, develops, and builds capability in Site HSE Standard OwnersMonitors facility performance against HSE goals and objectives and communicates results to the Site Leadership Team and Central Safety CommitteeReports company-required HSE, Sustainability, and Security metrics at required frequencies in GSTEMSActively participates in change or project management to identify and address critical risk at the facility. Ensures site HSE risk analyses are performed and communicated following BPM escalation processes if applicableProvides support to the site to address regulatory inspections and complaintsProvides assistance in the analysis of significant incidents (fire, chemical releases, fatalities, severe or multiple injuries, security, etc.) and follow-up on corrective actions ensuring information is shared throughout the Company to prevent re-occurrenceOversees administration of Worker's Compensation process at the facilityActively supports the Site's Security and Resilience Program in partnership with Global SecurityPartners with Global Security as appropriate to reports and investigate security eventsMaintains professional working relationships with local/state law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and other first respondersCoordinates with key stakeholders on security-related regulatory compliance matters as appropriateCollaborates with other business functions and participates in special projects as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS  
 Bachelor's degree in environmental, safety, industrial hygiene or demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable work experience5+ years of site-level HSE leadership, program management, and physical security experienceSolid interpersonal, coaching, and project management skillsStrong written and oral communication skills; proficient in EnglishProficient in computer software applicationsWorking knowledge of local HSE regulationsExperience in food and beverage manufacturing or related field  ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS

 The salary range for this position is $93700.00 - $140700.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
