The Senior Training Specialist (Industrial/Environmental Safety) is an advanced journey level position, responsible for the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive industrial and/or environmental health and safety curriculum. In this role, you will serve as the subject matter expert utilizing initiative, resourcefulness, and strategic thinking to expand upon traditional methods, research trends, and patterns to develop new methods, criteria, and/or propose new policies. Additional responsibilities include interpreting complex data, planning and prioritizing work, and refining methods and techniques to improve training outcomes. Your work will use established criteria to formulate projects, assess program effectiveness, and address a wide variety of unique conditions, problems, or questions. This job announcement has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work being performed by employees in this classification / job. Schedule: 4-10, (Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm) Hybrid: Metropolitan's current practice in this position is a hybrid work schedule. This typically includes two days a week in person and the other days remote. This is subject to change dependent on organizational needs. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS Valid California Class C Driver's License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
