Summary
Responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the endoscopy technician team. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions -Provide leadership and supervision to the endoscopy technician team. -Assign duties and responsibilities to technicians, oversee their work, and provide guidance and support as needed. -Coordinate and provide training to new and existing endoscopy technicians. -Conduct orientation sessions, develop training programs, and ensure that technicians are competent and knowledgeable in endoscopic procedures, equipment handling, and safety protocols. -Coordinate the scheduling and flow of endoscopic procedures. -Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the endoscopy unit. -Oversee the maintenance, cleaning, and proper functioning of endoscopy equipment. -Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, infection control protocols, and quality assurance measures. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred Nursing Assistant [LNA - New Hampshire] - New Hampshire Board of Nursing preferred Experience Experience as an Endoscopy Technician or in a related role 5-7 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong leadership and supervisory skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - In-depth knowledge of endoscopic procedures, equipment, and accessories. - Proficiency in handling and troubleshooting endoscopy equipment. - Knowledge of infection control protocols and patient safety measures. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team and coordinate workflow.
