Summary:

The Clinical Data Standards Coordinator is responsible for many core operational functions for clinical standards, data quality, and training program initiatives, including internal and external communication, project management, and a large volume of non-clinical customer support. Major duties for this position include coordinating operational aspects of the National Trauma Data Standard (NTDS) Data Dictionary development process and coordinating training courses within the learning management system with staff and work groups. Additional responsibilities include administering the NTDS Revision Site, managing documentation related to all internal data quality processes, coordinating external industry-wide documentation initiatives, and providing generalized customer support for broader data and report operations activities.

This exempt position will report to the Manager of Clinical Data Standards and Training in the Division of Research and Optimal Patient Care. It is based in our Chicago office and is a hybrid role: 3 days per week in the office/2 days per week remote.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $55,000 - $60,000 (commensurate with related experience).

Responsibilities:



  • Provide operational support for the NTDS process, including administration of the NTDS pilot, management of associated documentation, work group and customer support, coordination of participant communications, and general project management. Administer the NTDS revision site, and other web content related to the NTDS and related activities.

  • Assist with TQIP customer service inquiries and provide generalized support. Provide overall administrative support for the Data and Report Operations teams.

  • Lead the operational coordination of the standardized data quality process, including basic project management and documentation. Provide generalized customer support and manage communications across all stakeholders, including leadership and staff.

  • Coordinate clinical data standards training including building courses in the learning management system, completing bulk enrollments, editing recordings, communicating with hospitals, scheduling, and following up with internal and external customers.

  • Contribute enthusiastically to an environment of continual performance improvement, team collaboration and service to improve care of the injured patient, executed in accordance with the ACS values. Seek and promote areas of integration and alignment within Trauma Programs and across ACS activities. Pursue and welcome opportunities for evolution of responsibilities and growth in position. Create and maintain written organizational processes and procedures in support of all projects and activities handled in this program area.



Required Education and/or Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university is required.

  • At least 2-4 years of similar or related experience is preferred.

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities are required.

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are essential for correspondence and data entry.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.

  • Experience with InDesign, Monday.com, and/or Ethos CE learning management system is preferred.
