Role Overview:

The CVP, Digital Product Owner (PO) is a strategic leader at the intersection of business and technology. As the business proxy within Agile development teams, the PO drives delivery of impactful digital solutions for both marketing and service websites. This role ensures alignment with organizational objectives, provides clear product vision, and influences the future of New York Life's digital capabilities.

What You'll Do:

  • Champion the digital product vision across teams and senior leadership, driving stakeholder alignment and buy-in.
  • Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and Agile IT teams, guiding product execution from concept through delivery.
  • Lead digital strategy during PI Planning, coordinating across business units, governance bodies, and digital teams to deliver integrated outcomes.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, lead planning and reviews, and oversee intake and resolution for production issues.
  • Guide implementation of website features and enhancements, focusing on improving user experience, increasing engagement, and closing digital capability gaps.

What You'll Bring:

You're a strategic thinker with a passion for digital transformation and a deep understanding of Agile delivery. You know how to prioritize value, communicate across technical and business domains, and deliver results in complex environments. With strong stakeholder management skills and a bias for action, you guide digital solutions from vision to execution while mentoring teams and driving excellence.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in digital product management and Agile execution.
  • Proven success in cross-functional leadership within enterprise-level organizations.
  • Deep understanding of Agile frameworks and software development lifecycles (SDLC).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with website infrastructure, digital systems, and central governance processes.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing and service platforms, especially in financial services or insurance.
  • Experience with UX design, customer journey mapping, and KPI-driven roadmap development.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:$110,000 - $150,000

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Sales bonus eligible:No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
