Travel Activity Therapist Opportunity

Assignment Details

  • Specialty: Behavioral Health
  • Location: Altru Hosptial in Grand Forks, ND
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Full-Time, 40 hours per week (5x8 schedule)
  • Shift: day shift 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Enhanced hourly rate, tax-exempt stipend where applicable
  • Bi-weekly pay
  • Opportunity for overtime
  • Paid travel to/from assignment

Travel Therapist Responsibilities:

  • Conduct activity therapy to improve functioning and independence
  • Provide activity resources and opportunities for all patients with a focus on improving health and well-being
  • Provide high quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment of patients' functional needs and outcomes; consulting with and participating as part of the patients' treatment team
  • Complete and maintain all required documentation in a timely manner consistent with policies and regulations
  • Assess patient needs regularly and assist in developing and updating the Master Treatment Plan
  • Work within a team environment to ensure that each treatment modality is appropriate for the patient
  • Provide group educational therapies to assigned patients consistent with established techniques and methods

Qualifications

Travel Therapist Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Licensure/Certification: may consider Music, Art, Recreational as well as Dance Therapist certificaition, Registered Art Therapist, Certified Music Therapist, Registered Physical Therapist, Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), or Certified Yoga Instructor
  • Experience: Two (2) or more years' experience providing activity therapy; prefer experience in a behavioral health/psych setting
