The Instructional Designer has a vital role in ensuring that our internal teams and stakeholders have the training and resources they need to effectively communicate the technical aspects of our multi-product platform, as well as course and content creation for other various needs throughout the business. Acting as the bridge between product marketing and the rest of the company, this position is crucial in driving product adoption and understanding, preparing teams for seamless product launches, and enabling customer success. This role will design, implement, and continuously improve training programs and certifications that align with our strategic goals, including helping out with our leadership development initiatives and employee development. - Product Fluency & Internal Enablement
- Partner with product marketing and engineering to gather in-depth knowledge of new and existing products and their features.
- Within 120 days, deliver baseline training on at least one key product with >85% learner satisfaction and >90% course completion.
- Within 6 months, establish a full internal enablement pathway for new product releases for non-revenue teams-measured by >80% internal stakeholders reporting increased confidence in product messaging.
- Content Development & Learning Experience Design
- Create and deliver comprehensive training sessions for internal teams, ensuring knowledge retention and capability to communicate products and features effectively.
- Discover employee development hard and soft skill needs and develop solutions to solve for those needs. Mediums include eLearning courses, handbooks, videos, job aids, and interactive content.
- LMS & Learning Operations
- Fully manage the LMS and ensure 100% of new hires complete mandatory onboarding modules within 30 days of hire.
- Achieve quarterly reporting on engagement, retention, and performance improvement metrics across programs.
- Track and analyze the effectiveness of development programs using metrics and KPIs, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Business Impact Alignment
- Partner with department leads to identify and close at least two major knowledge gaps per quarter, demonstrated through before-and-after assessments or qualitative feedback.
- Conduct regular training sessions for internal teams on topics pertinent to their world.
- Ensure that all documentation related to product features, benefits, and use cases is up-to-date and accessible to employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in product training or enablement, preferably within a SaaS environment.
- 5+ years experience in instructional design, with expertise in Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Camtasia, Figma, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proven ability to apply learning theory (e.g., Bloom's Taxonomy, ADDIE, Kirkpatrick's Levels) to real-world corporate needs.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Experience administering Learning Management Systems (LMS) and tracking success metrics.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Willingness to travel if necessary for training sessions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expert in instructional design principles and methodologies.
- Experience with SaaS products and understanding of software development processes.
- Basic understanding of print management and automation along with related technologies.
- Experience in project management tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with Slack and Google Suite.
