Job Type: Support Staff - Union Bargaining Unit: SSA Regular/Temporary: Temporary End Date if Temporary: 01/30/2026 Hours Per Week: 20 Standard Work Schedule: Building: Salary Range: 25.21-25.21 The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary Colleting demographic and laboratory data Participating in consenting patients Participating in digital pathology annotations and organizing transcriptomic analyses Responsibilities 30%: Research collecting data, recordkeeping and file maintenance 10%: Maintaining and organizing lab notebook or records related to task 25%: Perform simple experiments including ELISA and annotating digitally scanned images 20%: Perform simple preliminary statistics to guide the experiments 15%: consenting patients to be enrolled in study Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Two years of college or a completed A.A. program with an emphasis in chemistry, biology, physics or related field or a completed animal husbandry program One year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and experience Preferred Qualifications Complement of 4 years college Expertise in R program in statistics Previous research experience as a research assistant in a laboratory Experience working with patients (specifically in consenting patients) Expertise in Microsoft office (specifically excel) Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Veteran Columbia University is committed to the hiring of qualified local residents.
