Position Summary

Organization: New Mexico Immigrant Law Center

Location: 625 Silver Ave SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102

An Off-Campus Work-Study Position - MUST have a Work-Study Award

SUMMARY: This is a part-time work
study position of 5-10 hours per week with the goal of supporting NMILC's
fundraising and development work. The Fundraising and Development Associate
will support NMILC's operations by maintaining donor and donation data in DonorSnap,
generating donation reports, and supporting NMILC's fundraising events, goals,
and strategies. This will also be an opportunity to gain experience working at a
nonprofit legal and social justice organization.

WHO WE ARE:
New
Mexico Immigrant Law Center (NMILC) is a social justice organization that
provides collaborative legal services, advocacy, and education opportunities
for low-income immigrants in the state. Since its founding in 2010, NMILC has
provided direct legal representation to more than 10,000 immigrants. NMILC's
model focuses on establishing relationships with local, state and national
organizations and governmental institutions to expand access to legal services
to historically marginalized immigrant communities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and update NMILC's donor management database by supporting with donation data entry and clean up
Generate detailed donation reports and accompanying visuals to analyze fundraising data
Support with third party fundraisers by tabling and presenting with NMILC staff
Create guides and templates to build upon NMILC's event planning and fundraising resources for the organization's supporters
Learn about and identify opportunities to apply community centric fundraising principles
Shadow other development-related meetings and processes

SCHEDULE:
Options run from Mondays -
Fridays, 9am-12pm and 1pm-5pm.
Minimum of 10 hours per
week. If you are not available for the minimum amount of time you may be
considered, but priority is given to those who can commit to the above
schedule.


Minimum Qualifications

Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.



Preferred Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Eligible for off-campus work study at UNM
High school diploma
Proficient with computer programs and databases
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Highly self-motivated with a willingness to collaborate
Ability to organize information in a clear and concise manner

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
At
least one year of undergraduate college or university education completed
Data
management experience is a plus
Some
familiarity with nonprofit fundraising is a plus
