DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in providing safe and effective medication therapy for residents. Your responsibilities will involve ensuring compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations, as well as utilizing recognized and safe methods of administration and handling of medications and biologicals. You will also be responsible for entering medication orders into computerized profiles, updating medication profiles as needed, and checking for potential drug interactions and optimal drug therapy. Additionally, you will review individual medication profiles and histories to identify any possible adverse reactions or interactions. As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, you will provide valuable consultation on the use of medications and potential drug interactions.

- Part-time employment, 37.5 hours biweekly
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS Special Requirement:
- You must in possession of a license to practice pharmacy as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
