Clinical Dietitian - Torrance State Hospital

In this position, you will complete nutritional assessments for the consumers at the hospital. By interacting with the population, you will provide counseling for their nutritional needs then modify diets and adjust recipes. You will organize a complete program of patient nutritional care including nutritional assessments and notate information in the consumer's chart to be utilized while admitted to the hospital and upon discharge. As the dietitian, you will participate in treatment team meetings to develop nutritional care for the consumer. Additionally, you can expect to develop and evaluate educational materials for use in programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
• Travel as needed
• Free parking!
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirement:

• You must have certification as a Registered Dietitian as defined by the Commission on Registration of the American Dietetic Association; or proof of eligibility for such certification.

Other Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
