DESCRIPTION
This position has responsibility for assisting or serving students, staff and the general public in a variety of ways.

TYPICAL TASKS: The following examples do not include all possible tasks and responsibilities, nor limits the assignment of additional related tasks including tasks typically performed by a lower classification.

* Washes service ware, pots and pans by hand or using dishwashing machine
* Maintains cleanliness in dining room (including tables, chairs and equipment)
* Maintains cleanliness of dish room by completing daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks
* Washes windows, walls, vents and maintains light fixtures as assigned
* Sweeps and mops floors using manual mop, broom or floor scrubber
* Vacuums carpets
* Empties trash, recycling, compost and cardboard, to include using mechanical equipment for compacting
* Receives deliveries and stores product under direction of lead employee or manager
* Stores and stocks clean dishes, service ware, pots and pans
* Makes coffee, mixes beverages
* Launders aprons, skirting and uniforms as assigned
* Cleans hoods and filters
* Stocks, cleans and replenishes soap and chemical dispensers and hand washing stations
* Stocks beverages and pre-packaged food when needed
* Is required to serve and assemble food as assigned
* Participates in training activities as assigned
* Performs other duties as assigned

RESPONSIBILITES
* Follows Food Safety and Sanitation standards
* Positively interacts with customers
* Participates in training other employees
* Follows brand specifications

REGULAR AND ON-GOING TASKS
* Puts away food and supplies
* Completes daily, weekly and monthly cleaning as assigned

SUPERVISION
Positions in this classification work under the guidance of the Food Service manager.

**An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.

**Continued employment in this position is contingent upon successfully:
* passing Food Safety test during probation period

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
* Reads, writes, understands and communicates in English
* Must be able to stand up for 4 hours at a time
* Reliable attendance at all scheduled shifts
* Must have some experience involving customer service

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $21.63-$23.25 depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment Category: 75% Appointment

Position Type: Civil-Service & Non-Faculty Labor Represented Staff
