The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Job Description

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with colleagues to ensure consistency of skills best practices across projects, colleges, and university functions
  • Drives continuous improvement and innovation of the Skills Library and skills architecture function
  • Ensures efficient staffing to develop quality products and deliver on college roadmaps while maximizing value to stakeholders
  • Monitors team project status and progress; identify and remove team barriers to keep development on schedule and resolve delays
  • Ensures overall quality and consistency of deliverables and engagement of team
  • Empowers direct reports with autonomy and accountability for meeting quality and performance metrics
  • Provides measurable feedback to and suggestions for improved performance
  • Ensures adherence to best practices in skills architecture including the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of the skills library and skills data
  • Serves as a catalyst for appropriate and productive change that increases both operational efficiency and student outcomes
  • Uses quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends in issues related to skills architecture
  • Contributes to the improvement of products by ensuring the development of scalable innovative solutions, and mentor others on the teams on best practices and processes
  • Supports cross-functional teams to develop and maintain quality skills-based curriculum and assessments
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in education, I/O psychology, information systems, instructional design, or related areas or relevant work experience
  • 3 years of experience in course development for competency-based education
  • 3 years of demonstrated relevant professional experience leading and managing curriculum or assessment development.
  • Prior management experience
  • 3 years experience related to skills architecture, workforce intelligence, and project/program management

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Position & Application Details
