University Libraries, Circulation Job Description
This .40 FTE position works in the Circulation Services Department and reports to the SR Library Information Specialist Lead Evening/Weekend Supervisor. This position is responsible for closing the library Saturday - Wednesday during the two academic semesters and Sunday - Wednesday during the eight-week summer session. The position provides circulation assistance and basic reference help and works shifts at the service desk. This position does not work between academic terms. Job Duties:
Shift
This position is responsible for closing the library and the Circulation Services Department during the two academic semesters working Saturday 6:15 - 10:15 pm & Sunday through Wednesday 8:15 PM to 12:15 AM. This is for a total of 20 hours a week for 17 weeks each semester (fall semester is mid-August to mid-December; spring semester is mid-January to mid-May). This position also works the closing schedule during the eight-week summer session Sunday through Wednesday 6:00 PM - 10:15 PM (17 hours per week). Summer session is early June to end of July. Position may be asked to cover occasional other shifts in absence of other employees. This position does not work the weeks between semesters/sessions (i.e., is not scheduled 4 weeks in December/January, 3 weeks in May, 3 weeks in August). Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Anticipated Hiring Range
Anticipated starting salary from $16.05 per hour to $17.50 per hour commensurate with education and experience, in consideration with internal equity. Application Deadline
