BEIT Support Center Technician
Salary range: $43,479 min. $56,524 max.
Typical Hours of Work: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. M-F. There may be times that require working evening hours.

- You enjoy managing the Support Center as well as hiring and managing part-time lab technician(s).
- You enjoy being responsible for all repairs, upgrading, maintenance, and calibration of lab equipment used in all lab exercises, testing equipment, and training at all college locations.
- Enjoy being responsible for and working with all course lab preparations and setups for faculty.
Typical Responsibilities Include:
- Manage direct reports (part-time lab technician(s) and student workers) - Includes daily task assignments, hiring, scheduling, problem solving, and decision making.
- Responsible for ordering equipment and supplies (both technical and non-technical).
- Receiving shipments and coordinating and inventory control of technical equipment and consumables. This includes blanket purchase orders in conjunction with the Department Chair and/or faculty needs each semester.
- Coordinate software purchase orders and renewals with Department Chairs and faculty.
- Some work in various labs may require lifting of up to 80 lbs.
- Research, specify, and order equipment required by faculty for all BEIT labs (does not include PC's).
- Coordinate regularly with Department Chairs and Faculty to determine their needs and continuously improve the BEIT labs and processes.
- Manage and execute the BEIT work order request system.
- Support students and their needs by staffing the Support Center and opening and monitoring labs as needed for students.
To be Considered You'll Need:
- Associate Degree Field: Engineering Technology or related field
- Three years, full-time equivalent, work experience - Managing people, processes, and budgets
- Three years, full-time equivalent, Engineering or Engineering Technology Technician work-related experience with IT knowledge
- Valid Ohio driver's license
Preferred Qualifications (although not required):
- Any Microsoft, CISCO, or Google certifications
- Certified forklift operator
