Tesla is looking for a Technical Program Manager, Infrastructure Programs for Large Capex Projects to oversee the planning and implementation of intricate, high-stakes infrastructure and facility initiatives. This position demands not just outstanding operational performance in delivering programs, but also strategic contributions to how Tesla expands and integrates emerging technologies within its rapidly evolving manufacturing environment. You will have a crucial part in defining the future physical layout of Tesla's operations, collaborating closely with teams in Supply Chain, Engineering, R&D, Construction, Finance, and Senior Executives to ensure that facility expansion aligns with advancing process technologies and overall business objectives.
What You'll Do
- Create and oversee comprehensive project timelines, including key milestones, critical path monitoring, budget projections, and risk assessments
- Direct cross-team coordination and execution of significant capital projects, spanning from site assessments and facility planning to equipment setup and activation
- Engage with top executives to rank projects, update on advancements, and verify alignment with corporate goals and return-on-investment metrics
- Serve as a primary strategic consultant in matching long-term investments in capital projects with Tesla's technology plans and expansion targets
- Manage program oversight, including phase-gate evaluations, backup planning, and handling changes throughout all stages
- Work alongside R&D and engineering groups to grasp technology development schedules and convert them into essential infrastructure requirements
- Guarantee adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across the entire duration of capital projects
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience
- At least 6 years of experience managing major capital projects in manufacturing, chemical, or advanced industrial fields, including experience with Site-Selection and scaling-up novel manufacturing processes
- Solid business insight, with skills in capital planning, financial analysis, and decisions on technology investments
- Strong abilities in communication and delivering presentations to executives
- Demonstrated expertise in incorporating new technologies into new or existing infrastructure setups
- Familiarity with project management software like MS Project, Jira, or Primavera
- Willingness to travel as required, typically under 20%

Expected Compensation
$124,000 - $258,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
