Senior Accountant Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join one of our largest client accounts and will be responsible for comprehensive financial management and reporting for a dedicated client account. This role combines technical accounting expertise with client relationship management to ensure accurate financial operations and exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements with comprehensive variance analysis
  • Execute month-end and quarter-end close processes, including general ledger review and cash management
  • Ensure all invoices, accruals, and accounting entries are completed accurately and within deadlines
  • Oversee accounts receivable objectives and metrics achievement
  • Maintain and research AR activities to ensure optimal collection processes
  • Manage funding processes to clients and ensure timely payment collection
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations accurately for month-end close
  • Review internal and external coding to ensure proper month-end reporting for reclass entries
  • Analyze accruals and provide strategic feedback to stakeholders
  • Prepare supporting schedules required for account balance validation
  • Submit work papers in reviewable format with proper documentation within established timeframes
  • Coordinate procedures and respond to accounting support questions from operations teams, clients, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Communicate and present monthly reviews of accrual audit findings
  • Resolve financial discrepancies and irregularities through analytical investigation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve purchase order changes and modifications
  • Provide analytical support to enhance operational behaviors and techniques
  • Implement and support process improvement initiatives
  • Recommend financial optimization strategies to management
  • Develop financial models and solutions for ad hoc reporting requirements
  • Compile and analyze financial information for management reports
  • Maintain accurate pipeline (work in process) through detailed transaction management
  • Complete special projects including audits and other functions as assigned
  • Continuously enhance, improve and streamline management processes
Required Qualifications Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA certification preferred
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience
  • Real estate experience preferred
  • Supervisory experience a plus
Technical Skills
  • Advanced accounting and analytical capabilities
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet applications
  • Experience with real estate accounting software preferred (JDE, MRI, Skyline, Timberline)
  • JD Edwards E1 knowledge a plus

Estimated total compensation for this position:

85,000.00 - 105,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
