BASIC PURPOSE


The Assistant Branch Manager plays a critical leadership role in supporting the overall operations of the Homecare branch, with a specialized focus on staffing services for PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) programs. Working in close partnership with the Branch Manager, this position ensures effective recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and retention of healthcare workers while fostering a high-performance culture. The Assistant Branch Manager is instrumental in driving operational efficiency, maintaining regulatory compliance, enhancing client relationships, and supporting staff development to meet organizational goals and deliver exceptional service to our PACE partners.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS




  1. Partner with the Branch Manager to lead day-to-day branch operations, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality staffing support for PACE programs.



  1. Monitor branch performance metrics, identify opportunities for process improvement, and implement strategies to improve staffing efficiency, employee engagement, and service delivery.



  1. Anticipate and address operational challenges, developing proactive solutions that support business continuity and long-term growth.



  1. Recruitment, Onboarding & Workforce Management



  1. Oversee the full onboarding process to ensure qualified candidates are processed and hired within 14 days.



  1. Review and close out candidate files exceeding 30 days in the pipeline to maintain efficiency.



  1. Lead, coach, and develop the onboarding team, providing actionable feedback, growth opportunities, and project assignments to strengthen capabilities.



  1. Implement and refine tools, workflows, and resources that enhance the speed, quality, and compliance of healthcare worker onboarding.



  1. Forecast workforce needs and prepare strategies to meet staffing demands for PACE partners.



  1. Maintain strict compliance with federal, state, and CMS regulations, ensuring readiness for audits and quality assurance reviews.



  1. Oversee documentation accuracy, database management, and daily filing completion.



  1. Partner with the Compliance Department to uphold best practices, mitigate risk, and ensure adherence to organizational policies.



  1. Lead quality assurance efforts in site coordinator placement, assignment planning, and timely communication with clients.



  1. Manage internal team performance, workplace behavior, and employee relations concerns by addressing issues promptly and professionally.



  1. Handle employee grievances and corrective action in alignment with company policies, collaborating with HR for guidance and consistent resolution.



  1. Lead performance management initiatives, including coaching, training, and professional development of staff to build technical and customer service skills.



  1. Foster an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative team culture that promotes accountability, engagement, and professional growth.



  1. Support employee recognition and engagement programs to strengthen morale and retention.



  1. Serve as a primary point of contact with PACE partners, ensuring responsiveness, visibility, and support at AltaMed sites and community events.



  1. Act as the first point of contact to manage escalated client and healthcare professional (HCP) grievances, ensuring timely and effective resolution.



  1. Strengthen client relationships by building brand awareness and positioning HT2 as a trusted staffing partner.



  1. Respond to employment verification requests and coordinate with payroll on compensation confirmations.



  1. Perform other duties as assigned to support branch goals and company initiatives.



  1. Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in recruitment and/or account management, preferably within healthcare staffing.


  • Minimum 1+ year of leadership experience, ideally within homecare staffing or a healthcare setting.


  • Strong understanding of healthcare compliance requirements, particularly CMS regulations.


  • Strong leadership and motivational skills to engage, inspire, and develop staff.


  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, staff, and stakeholders.


  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.


  • Staffing acumen and a strong sense of urgency to meet client and employee needs.


  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.


  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining professionalism.


  • Customer service mindset with strong interpersonal skills.


  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with staffing software preferred.


  • Bilingual skills are strongly preferred.



Education: High School or equivalent required; Some college preferred.

Company equipment(laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse headset) will be provided directly to you for use during employment.
