At AZ Blue, we have a hybrid workforce strategy, called Workability, that offers flexibility with how and where employees work. Our positions are classified as hybrid, onsite or remote. While the majority of our employees are hybrid, the following classifications drive our current minimum onsite requirements:

  • Hybrid People Leaders: must reside in AZ, required to be onsite at least twice per week

  • Hybrid Individual Contributors: must reside in AZ, unless otherwise cited within this posting, required to be onsite at least once per week

  • Hybrid 2 (Operational Roles such as but not limited to: Customer Service, Claims Processors, and Correspondence positions): must reside in AZ, unless otherwise cited within this posting, required to be onsite at least once per month

  • Onsite: daily onsite requirement based on the essential functions of the job

  • Remote: not held to onsite requirements, however, leadership can request presence onsite for business reasons including but not limited to staff meetings, one-on-ones, training, and team building

Please note that onsite requirements may change in the future, based on business need, and job responsibilities. Most employees should expect onsite requirements and at a minimum of once per week.

This position is hybrid within the state of AZ only. This hybrid work opportunity requires residency, and work to be performed, within the State of Arizona.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This is an entry-level position typically held by recent graduates with 1-2 years of relevant coursework/training. In this role, the incumbent will under limited direction, perform necessary activities to ensure all assigned test automation development responsibilities are completed in support of divisional needs and primarily assist with analyzing, designing, developing, testing, and reviewing test automation frameworks and scripts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required Work Experience

  • College-level coursework related to development using an OOP language, documentation, analysis, design, and testing.
  • Experience integrating test automation approach into an Agile delivery environment.

  • High School Diploma or GED in general field of study

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Work Experience

  • 1 - 3 years of training/experience in development concepts using OOP language, documentation, design, analysis, and testing (may be through coursework or internship)
  • 1 - 2 years of experience working with teams and/or managing project assignments.
  • 1 - 2 years of training/experience with integrating test automation approach into an agile delivery environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related technical field

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research, review, analyze, track, and resolve basic testing and test automation problems
  • Participates in the design, development, configuration, and maintenance of automated test frameworks and custom test solutions.
  • Participate in the development, review, and creation of test scripts used to support test automation.
  • Develop basic test data, debugs automation frameworks/scripts and resolves technical issues.
  • Leverages critical thinking to identify problems and recommend corresponding solutions.
  • Documents technical solutions within test frameworks and custom test solutions.
  • Maintains working knowledge and develops expertise in one or more application/workstream areas with respect to automated testing tools and techniques.
  • Research and analyze procedural problems and provide recommendations for improvements and changes.
  • Is knowledgeable and effective in following established testing practices and processes.
  • Aligns the appropriate automated testing solution to, most effectively and efficiently evaluate the acceptance criteria.
  • Research, respond to, and finalize questions, requests, or ad-hoc reports for research received from internal customers.
  • Provides estimation on effort to create new or update existing automation tests/scripts.
  • Determine estimates of efforts and impacts for a variety of solutions.
  • Contribute to the technical discussions and decisions as well as actively participate in team meetings.
  • Meet timeliness and accuracy goals with respect to active projects and sprints.
  • Communicate status of work assignments to internal team, stakeholders, and management.
  • Give oral presentations, organize meetings, and conduct demonstrations to various levels or users and management.
  • The position requires a full-time work schedule. Full-time is defined as working at least 40 hours per week, plus any additional hours as requested or as needed to meet business requirements.
  • Perform all essential functions and other duties as assigned.
