A Taste of What You'll Do

Are you passionate about the wine and spirits industry and eager to drive growth within hotel-centric accounts? We are seeking a dynamic Senior Account Executive, Customer Development On-Premise, to join our team and take the lead in developing and executing strategic sales plans specifically tailored to hotel accounts. Your role will be pivotal in driving revenue and profit objectives while fostering strong relationships with our hotel partners.

In this role, you will oversee the presentation and execution of Gallo merchandising programs to chain buyers within the hotel sector, striving to increase the distribution and visibility of our wine and spirits products. Your deep understanding of the hospitality industry and ability to influence at multiple levels within the customer's organization, from Buyer to CEO, will be crucial in achieving our volume and profit growth objectives.

You will regularly present ongoing business reviews and strategic educational offerings to train chain partners on the wine and spirits category. Your collaboration with Gallo Business Units on customer-specific planning and open communication with distributor and Winery management will ensure seamless execution of chain sales plans. Additionally, you will analyze and report data to customers, helping identify business opportunities and providing valuable insights.

As a proactive and innovative thinker, you will balance strategic planning with day-to-day execution, ensuring that all activities support our corporate objectives. Your ability to develop and nurture positive relationships with winery, distributor, and customer organizations will be key to your success. You will also champion the adoption of new technologies to enhance job functions and support the customer base.

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
  • Master's degree plus 6 years of E. & J. Gallo Winery Sales, Gallo Affiliated Distributor, CPG sales/account management, retail or on premise sales/account management, or corporate business development experience; OR Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of E. & J. Gallo Winery Sales, Gallo Affiliated Distributor, CPG sales/account management, retail or on premise sales/account management, or corporate business development reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR 12 years of E. & J. Gallo Winery Sales, Gallo Affiliated Distributor, CPG sales/account management, retail or on premise sales/account management, or corporate business development reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to obtain Liquor License as required by state/locality.
  • Required to travel by air and car to perform job duties.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out

  • Master's degree plus 8 years of winery sales, customer development account management, or customer development project analyst experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of winery sales, customer development account management, or customer development project analyst experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Gallo account management or project analyst experience.

  • This position can be remote within the United States with travel to our Modesto, CA headquarters as needed.
