LPN/LVN

Position Summary: Provides quality nursing care for patients undergoing changes in emotional/physical health and contributes to formulation and implementation of a patient care treatment plan. Interacts with patients, patient families, clinical team, and community resources establishing relationships and providing positive customer service. Provides evidence-based care.

Working Conditions: Hospital setting. Working under the supervision of MD and RN. May include days, evening, nights, weekends and holidays. Some risk involved in the event of aggressive/out-of-control patient. Ability to communicate effectively; ability to meet travel requirements; ability to effectively utilize communication equipment; physical agility to manage patients (ambulatory, non-ambulatory and physically aggressive); repetitive bending, stooping, and/or lifting. Near visual acuity necessary for evaluating patients and reading charts. Eye/hand coordination and finger dexterity essential for manual charting. Talking and hearing are necessary for conversing with and assessing patients. Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.

Associates Degree

Virginia Board of Nursing Licensure or Compact Licensure

1-3 years experience preferred
