As Director, Solution Consulting with OpenText you will be integral to managing and building the team. You will recruit, develop and provide the necessary support and leadership to achieve both regional and corporate business goals and ensure the knowledge, skills, and mindset the team meets and exceeds the needs of the regional Sales teams. You will equip and monitor the team to ensure that they are able to identify, qualify, analyze, position, demonstrate and articulate the value of implementing an OpenText EIM solution, ensuring a high degree of proficiency for the business, the market, competitors, and our technology.

You will also be responsible for:
* Working with Sales to qualify opportunities and mitigate risks. Work proactively with periphery departments (Professional Services, Engineering, Marketing, etc.) to reduce the risk of a deal being lost due to product issues
* Work closely with the Sales leadership of the region to understand business goals and ensure the focus and management of the Presales team to align with these goals
* Take personal ownership of top deals each quarter
* Leverage new and existing data sources (SFDC) to develop ROI metrics and reporting for both operational and Sales Management use to ensure the performance and direction of the team are in line with corporate and regional revenue goals
* Manage team performance, ensuring the retention of key team members and management of under-performing team members
* Provide peer support and enablement to the Partner community
* Travel within assigned region and to company/industry events as required
* Has superior knowledge around solution selling techniques to communicate our solution's business value

You are great at:
* Maintain close working relationships with Strategic Architecture, Value Engineering and Product Unit teams to ensure our complex and often customized solutions benefit both the customer and OpenText
* Act as thought leader within the Solution Consultant organization
* Work proactively with the AE and partner community as appropriate to develop EIM value propositions for individual customers and particular sectors.
* Self-motivating, problem solving, task ownership, and problem resolution skills
* Strong pre-sales solutions technical experience
* Demonstrable aptitude for leading and managing technical pre-sales
consultants
* Excellent presentation, communication, and time management skills
* Ability to interact at Corporate Executive level
* Ability to present to VP/C level audiences effectively
* Selling skills, ability to listen, knows when to talk technology and when to talk
business value
* Knowledge of various EIM technologies and business processes

What it takes:
* 10+ years direct software (or related) pre-sales support experience
* 8+ years of managing technical teams
* Knowledge of software industry relating to all aspects of EIM solutions
* Ability to travel as required
* Education: BS degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or related
