Responsible for editing video packages which includes scripts for special content, politics and breaking news and special series. This may relate to important daily news coverage, franchise, feature, or special event coverage and documentaries. Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Edit and enhance images; apply special effects and color correction as needed. Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Demonstrated knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro CC Ability to quickly troubleshoot technical issues with editing software and equipment Ability to read video scopes and audio levels Understanding of digital workflows and file-based delivery Effective communication and organizational skills Knowledge of operation and office policies and procedures Ability to handle various tasks simultaneously, organize, prioritize, make decisions and work efficiently and effectively under deadlines Required Education High School Diploma Required Related Work Experience and Number of years Experience in news editing 2+ Experience in long form/magazine/documentaries - 2+ Preferred Education Associates or Bachelor's degree Preferred Related Work Experience and Number of Years Experience with Dalet newsroom software Working Conditions Primarily inside in a climate controlled environment Ability to work a flexible schedule, weekends and holidays as needed Physical Requirements Push/pull/manuever equiments up to 50 lbs. The base pay for this position generally is between $20.40 and $36.10. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
