Job Description:

OFFICE LOCATION:

Abilene, Texas, United States

SCOPE/CONTACTS:

Incumbent is responsible for the upkeep and repair of multiple company buildings, ensuring all systems; HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general infrastructure are operating efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate is not only technically proficient but also personable, responsive, and committed to delivering exceptional service to tenants, customers, and guests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Technical Maintenance & Repair

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance across multiple facilities.
  • Operate and maintain HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, pumps, fan coil units, and thermostats.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, lighting, outlets, and panels.
  • Maintain plumbing systems including fixtures, valves, and water heaters.
  • Conduct general building repairs including doors, windows, furniture, and fixtures.
  • Monitor and adjust pneumatic and mechanical controls to maintain optimal building environments.

Customer-Facing Support

  • Provide courteous and helpful assistance to tenants and guests, including hanging pictures, moving furniture, helping with car issues, and carrying boxes.
  • Serve as a goodwill ambassador, fostering positive relationships with building occupants.

Safety & Security

  • Respond to fire and burglar alarms; coordinate with Fire and Police Departments as needed.
  • Ensure building security systems are functioning properly.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response protocols.

Vendor & Contractor Coordination

  • Collaborate with outside contractors and vendors on building-related projects.
  • Oversee quality and compliance of third-party work.

On-Call & After-Hours Support

  • Participate in rotating on-call schedule for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Actively participate in the Customer Service First sales and service culture, support the values of the organization, and follow established Bank policies and procedures and government regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate or equivalent is required; related trade school training is a plus.
  • Six years' experience in building maintenance or facilities management.
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair required.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must also be able to perform physical duties such as frequent standing, bending/stooping, reaching forward and overhead, squatting/crouching, climbing stairs and ladders, and kneeling.
  • Professional demeanor and customer service skills are most important.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
