Position Overview

The Director of PreventionGenetics Commercial Operations is responsible for managing comprehensive operational support to the Vice President of Genetics and the Commercial Leadership team. This role is primarily responsible for the execution of initiatives and projects to improve sales performance and operational excellence within the Commercial organization, along with business planning, execution, and deployment of operations that enable the strategy, communications, and culture. The Director is primarily responsible for the design, development, and execution of various approaches informed through the utilization of information from various sources, to initiate and influence decision-making while monitoring tactical execution of business initiatives and goals. This position leads a team of employees dedicated to supporting this work.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • In collaboration with the Vice President of Genetics and commercial leaders, provide proactive leadership, support, and solutions to execute the commercial strategic initiatives and tactics as well as proactive performance communication to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure the appropriate data and analytics support and alignment for the commercial organization, aligned to key business unit metrics and processes.
  • Drive accountability among the leadership team by managing program/initiative/business metrics and progress (e.g., timeline, budget, scope of impact, performance metrics, etc.) while surfacing critical business topics for discussion or deep dives.
  • Develop and maintain trusting and effective partnerships across commercial teams, enabling a high- performing and results-oriented cross functional team.
  • Monitor and analyze the impact of business initiatives; evaluate potential risk and propose appropriate tradeoffs.
  • Coordinate operational and tactical initiatives across a variety of stakeholders by demonstrating excellent teamwork, accountability, and organizational savviness.
  • Identify areas for greater operational efficiency and effectiveness and collaborate to implement/drive improvement opportunities.
  • Lead, monitor, and/or project manage strategic initiatives for the leadership team, as needed.
  • Monitor and report the performance of priority commercial initiatives. Support the process of prioritization and funding, ensuring appropriate periodic reporting and decision making on these projects.
  • Work with the communications team to ensure alignment of internal commercial messaging and key stakeholder management.
  • Effectively manage, support, and guide your team, including, but not limited to delegating tasks and responsibilities, assess employee performance and provide helpful feedback and training opportunities.
  • Consistent demonstration of exceptional leadership qualities, including, but not limited to the ability to attract and retain the best team, foster a culture of high performance, lead with integrity, humility, accountability, and courage, and set a clear vision to energize teams towards the future.

  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

  • Ability to travel 25% of working time away from work location; may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field as outlined in the essential duties.
  • 12+ years of experience in Medical Technology or similar industries.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams, formally or informally.
  • Advanced capability with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related field as outlined in the essential duties.

Salary Range:

$167,000.00 - $284,000.00

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible.
