| Infotainment Engineer II Hyundai's North America Quality Center (NAQC) is looking for an Engineer II for the Infotainment Team The Team: NAQC is the quality arm for Hyundai Motor Group (HMG)'s North American vehicle models. NAQC seeks to further Hyundai's goal of becoming the leading automotive manufacturer in North America by delivering uncompromising quality and exceeding consumer expectations. The Position: The Infotainment Engineer II would focus on the continuous development and enhancement of infotainment systems for Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia vehicles by performing field and on-site investigations and root cause analysis regarding infotainment-related issuesWhat You Will Do: 
    
 Participate in quality gate audits with affiliates, vendors, and HMG teams to evaluate newly released test software, identify emerging quality issues, and verify resolution plans to ensure complete software development prior to market releaseUtilize warranty claim analysis and severity assessments to conduct quality investigations on Genesis, Hyundai, and Kia vehicles and their respective infotainment and other electronic systemsPlan, lead, and conduct comprehensive end-to-end testing for connected car servicesExecute field and on-site investigations to identify, analyze, replicate, and resolve quality-related issues for infotainment systemsConduct thorough evaluations of prototype vehicles to identify and address potential quality issues prior to product launchDevelop test cases for new system evaluations to perform in-depth assessments of various infotainment systemsPublish technical reports on infotainment system evaluations and investigations to provide HMG R&D and Quality teams with recommendations for improvementPerform failure analysis on infotainment and electrical components to diagnose infotainment-related issues and share findings with the corresponding vendor(s) and other quality divisions via investigation reportsProvide technical support and participate in various product evaluation programs with NA sales affiliates and assembly plantsConduct Over-The-Air (OTA) update validations to confirm market deployment readinessSupport dealers and vendors with infotainment-related issues by performing root cause analysis and providing solutions/countermeasuresPerform supplier audits to ensure NA meets HMG's quality standardsIdentify market trends via customer feedback, external indices (e.g., J.D. Power and Consumer Reports), customer forums, and automotive syndicated studiesCollaborate with the appropriate stakeholders (i.e., HMG R&D, suppliers, other quality departments, etc.) to resolve complex, quality-related issuesMentor junior engineers on best practices and facilitate on-the-job learningTravel up to 30% of the time, both domestically and internationally
What You Will Bring to the Role: 
    
 Bachelor's degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering3+ years of experience working with infotainment systemsQA/QC/QI experienceFamiliarity with Vector CANalyzer/CANoe/CANape, Oscilloscope, and Spectrum analyzerRoot cause analysis skillsExperience conducting field and on-site investigationsFamiliarity with performing testing, validation, research, and benchmarking activities/tasks concerning infotainment systemsAbility to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to perform additional projects and tasks (as assigned) to support the overall mission, vision, and goals of NAQCProficiency in Microsoft programs, such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and WordExcellenttime management, self-management, and organization skillsStrong written, oral, and interpersonal skillsAttention to detailProject management experienceValid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record
