| Sr. EV Engineer Hyundai's North America Quality Center (NAQC) is looking for a Senior Engineer for the Electric Vehicle (EV) Team The Team: NAQC is the quality arm for Hyundai Motor Group (HMG)'s North American vehicle models. NAQC seeks to further Hyundai's goal of becoming the leading automotive manufacturer in North America by delivering uncompromising quality and exceeding consumer expectations. The Position: The Sr. EV Engineer would focus on the continuous development and enhancement of electric vehicle propulsion systems for Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia vehicles by performing field and on-site investigations and root cause analysis regarding EV-related issuesWhat You Will Do: 
    
 Lead investigations with involved stakeholders to identify, analyze, replicate, and resolve quality-related issues for EV propulsion systemsAnalyze the strengths and weaknesses of competitors' vehicles via benchmarkingValidate countermeasure software and, once published, continuously monitor field data to track its effectivenessMentor junior engineers in EV-related affairsCreate and present technical reports as assigned for management to reviewDevelop/maintain positiverelationships with tech experts from the R&D Center and counterpart teamsCollaborate with the appropriate stakeholders (i.e., HMG R&D, suppliers, other quality departments, etc.) to resolve complex, quality-related issuesResearch, procure, and maintain new technologies, tools, and methods for data acquisition and analysis purposesProvide continuous engineering support concerning the life cycles of Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia vehicles by performing and studying warranty analysis of their current market vehiclesTravel up to 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally
What You Will Bring to the Role: 
    
 Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, automotive, or a related field of engineering7+ years of experience working with EV systemsQA/QC/QI experienceKnowledge of electric vehicle propulsion systems, including sub-systems and principlesRoot cause analysis skillsWorking knowledge of vehicle communication networks and DAQ tools (e.g., ETAS INCA, Intrepid VehicleSpy, Vector CAN, and Ethernet Suites)Experience conducting field investigationsFamiliarity with performing testing, validation, research, and benchmarking activities/tasks concerning EV systemsStrong written, oral, interpersonal, and leadership skillsAbility to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
