Job Description
Job Summary/Objective: Quality Tech II will be responsible for performing standardized quality control and safety checks on three-phase electrical assembled products. QTII will ensure these products are assembled in compliance with drawings, work instructions, specifications and accepted electrical practice for three-phase assembled products, as well as legal and company standards for safety and quality. May also be required to maintain calibrated test equipment, prepare test data, and identify areas for quality control improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Preventing non-conforming products from escaping to our customer.
- Collaborate in continuous improvement activities around process, documentation, product to drive Quality in and waste out.
- Inspecting three-phase assembled electrical products according to specs, drawings, work instructions as well as quality and safety standards.
- Reporting quality anomalies to the Quality Supervisor and/or Quality Manager.
- Developing and maintaining company inspection reports.
- Ensuring products comply with company standards as well as Federal and State law.
- Ensuring test equipment is calibrated and working correctly.
- Collecting test data and drafting quality reports.
- Identifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
Preferred Skills
- Electrical experience required. Certified Electrician or EE preferred. Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and prints.
- Experience as an Inspection or quality technician.
- High-level visual awareness.
- Advanced organizational skills.
- Experience in metallurgy and/or fabrication preferred
- Experience drafting reports and collecting data.
- Ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical information.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Electrical testing certification preferred
