Hours

  • 4:00 pm- 2:30 am (Monday- Friday)
  • Saturday Overtime

Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is $21.60 - $24.60. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.

Are you passionate about logistics leadership? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our logistics function. As a Team Leader in Logistics, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.

Reporting to the Supervisor, the Team Leader is responsible providing hands on leadership to the production line while ensuring that production needs and quality standards are maintained. The Team Leader will provide guidance and support for the day-to-day activities, including but not limited to training, coaching, guiding Team Members within the specified area of responsibility. This will be accomplished by being a role model, leading by example and fostering an environment of mutual respect and team work amongst Team Members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with the Supervisor may conduct pre-shift huddles, provide feedback for Team Members on daily requirements, and communication of daily/weekly goals
  • Scheduling of daily tasks to be carried out by their team including but not limited to daily warm-up exercises, tool calibration checks, TPM verification, written NMRs, safety observations, etc.
  • Leads, coaches, mentors, and trains Team Members to meet department goals
  • Provide support to the Supervisor by assisting with schedule adherence and following up with Team Members as needed
  • Investigate and resolve day to day issues pertaining to the flow of S&C products and materials
  • Provide on the job new hire orientation/training to ensure that all new Team Members have the knowledge to perform their successfully
  • Participate in Team Member evaluations within their team, including Job Instruction and quality audits
  • Ensures a safe working environment at all times by enforcing S&C standards
  • Understanding and maintaining the 5S methodology for organizing, cleaning, developing, and sustaining a productive work environment
  • Daily updating of the product line KPI boards for daily Gemba Talks
  • May be required to perform general labor duties when needed in order to meet production needs

What you'll Need To Succeed:

  • High School diploma
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Good communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers
  • Excellent leadership skills with proven track record of successfully coaching and mentoring others
  • Demonstrated organization and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work as a team player as well as independently
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous improvement manufacturing principles considered an asset
  • Ability to follow a safety-first philosophy
