Job Summary

Supervise support activities relating to the daily operation of ZOLL Medical Chelmsford facilities and manufacturing support. Is competent in the use of general-purpose laboratory equipment, methods, and practices as well as machine shop tools, PCs and application SW.

Essential Functions

  • 30% Maintain ZOLL physical plant including budget and capital projects. Organize all maintenance and cleaning personnel upholding our high level of cleanliness, comfort and safety. Coordinate with landlord for common area maintenance. Perform periodic audit of facility. Operate and maintain the ZOLL facility TTP system.
  • 20% coordinate all ZOLL security, HVAC and safety systems standards to maintain and improve the safety of the facility and all employees. Available on call 24/7.
  • 20% Support the design, development and fabrication, calibration and PM of test fixtures to support all production and R&D requirements.
  • 10% Supervision of direct report staff including training and compliance.
  • 5% Training BBP, Hazcomm and IPC
  • 5% OSHA coordination and compliance as well as active participation in the emergency response team and maintenance of the reverse 911 and other emergency communication portals.
  • 5% Develop and report potential total cost reductions for any area of responsibilities of this position. Evaluate monthly bills for error.
  • 5% perform any other task, which is required in order to complete ZOLL's goals.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Requires a minimum high school degree with experience m electronics required or
  • A vocational/Technical degree or equivalent required
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years' experience operating a midsized facility required and
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of machining process and the basic ability to read and assemble tooling and fixture designs from rough prints.
  • Familiarity with operating in an ISO9000 and Lean Manufacturing environment.
  • Computer literacy is required.
  • Familiarity with FDA QSR a plus
