Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Newburyport, MA. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The Materials Inspector screens, visually inspects, measures, and counts microelectronic piece parts, including die and wafer, caps, bases, lead frames, and various other components for assembly build.
  • This role includes Quality Assurance-level inspection responsibilities.
  • Inspects dies and piece parts to various Military and Jedec standards using high and low power microscopes.
  • Follows defined specifications and reaction paths.
  • Uses multiple hand tools to process delicate products without damaging components manually.
  • Stocks and issues materials for assembly build.
  • Trains employees on specs and process used in area.
  • Maintains well-organized and audit-ready work areas.
  • Utilizes computer-based manufacturing systems to move product and enter data.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $21-23/hr + 10% shift differential.

Hours: 40 hours/week (2nd Shift).

Length: Contract to Hire.

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.

  • Working environment involves multiple storage areas, including areas where chemical and analytical equipment are being used.
  • Involves close work, visual monotony, clarity within a microscope, and color/vision perception.
  • Must be able to discriminate between high-quality standard parts and parts with marginal quality.
  • Work areas require specific gowning and safety equipment
  • High levels of background.
  • Hot/cold temperatures
  • Must be able to hear and communicate in person and over the phone in areas with increased background noise.
  • Must climb stairs while carrying boxes and be comfortable in an environment where ladders and carts are used.
  • Medium levels of physical work; at times needing to exert force/push items of up to 100 lbs. and lifting of up to 40 lbs.
  • Frequent walking through manufacturing areas involves gowning for the specific work area.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods on hard surfaces or sit stationary while inspecting through a microscope.
  • Twisting and bending are part of the daily work.
  • Must be able to push/pull/manipulate and grasp work with both hands, reaching above and below shoulder height.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manipulating small tools and parts are required.
  • Keyboard use and interaction with multiple computer systems and production equipment interfaces.
  • Job requires frequent endurance with typical spans of >5 hours without a break.
