The Customer Marketing Specialist plays a key role in supporting the execution of customer marketing strategies across key retail channels within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry. This role bridges brand strategy and in-market execution by collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to activate impactful, customer-specific programs that drive visibility, trial, and conversion at retail.

This individual will work closely with the Director of Customer Marketing to support the development and execution of customer-specific retail marketing programs across key CPG retail partners. They will assist in managing the delivery of shopper-facing assets, ensuring that all initiatives align with both customer strategies and brand priorities. Acting as a critical liaison between Sales, Brand Marketing, and Category Insights, the Customer Marketing Specialist will help ensure seamless execution, maintain cross-functional alignment, and contribute to the successful activation of programs that drive visibility and conversion at retail.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Assist in the execution of customer marketing programs and promotional plans tailored to retail partners, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and customer goals.
  • Partner with Sales to support sell-in tools, activation decks, and execution timelines for in-store and digital campaigns.
  • Coordinate the development and delivery of marketing assets for customer-specific activations, including POS materials, digital banners, signage, and display support.
  • Track and analyze program performance and contribute to post-program recaps with key metrics, insights, and learnings.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Brand, Category Insights, Creative, and Operations to ensure alignment and timely delivery of campaign elements.
  • Maintain tracking documents for promotional calendars, key execution deadlines, and channel-specific requirements.
  • Support the execution of marketing programs across all relevant CPG channels including mass, club, grocery, drug, and e-commerce.



QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE



  • 2-4 years of experience in customer marketing, shopper marketing, trade marketing, sales support, or a related role required.
  • CPG or retail industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Associates, bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with retailer promotional planning cycles and shopper behavior within the CPG environment.
  • Experience supporting customer- or channel-specific campaigns with cross-functional coordination.

BENEFITS & SALARY

The Jel Sert Company is committed to pay transparency and will provide further compensation information during the interview process. The minimum compensation for the Customer Marketing Specialist is $57,700 annually. Compensation is determined by a candidate's experience, education, skills, training, and the internal equity within our organization. Actual compensation to be paid will be determined upon an offer. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Remote office environment with the flexibility to travel up to 25%.
