At WSU Tech, we're shaping the future of aviation. As an Aerospace Maintenance Instructor, you'll do more than teach-you'll inspire, guide, and elevate learners through the Choose Aerospace 500-hour aviation maintenance program. While the curriculum is developed by Choose Aerospace, you'll be employed and supported by WSU Tech.

What You'll Do:

  • Instruct and facilitate Choose Aerospace modules, including aircraft systems, hand tools, regulations, physics, corrosion control, and more.
  • Utilize e-learning tools such as multimedia videos, ebooks, and VR labs to deliver a dynamic classroom experience.
  • Guide students through the curriculum to prepare for FAA mechanic certification or advanced technical training.
  • Implement hands-on lab activities using industry-recommended equipment.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress; provide academic and technical support as needed.
  • Collaborate with WSU Tech staff and partner institutions to align curriculum with workforce needs.
  • Attend professional development and curriculum-specific training sessions offered by Choose Aerospace.

Requirements

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills Needed:

  • Ideal Candidate
    • A technical background recommended but not required.
    • Experience teaching or mentoring students in a technical or hands-on learning environment.
    • Strong understanding of aviation maintenance practices and FAA certification standards.
    • Proficient in digital tools, including online learning platforms and VR applications.
    • Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
