Position Summary Information
Primary Purpose |
The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, School of Pharmacy at the University of Pacific has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral research fellow for a period of up to 2 years from hire in the laboratory of Dr. Mamoun Alhamadsheh. The fellow will be focused on developing the research program of the Alhamadsheh's lab funded by a research grant from
NIH awarded to Dr. Mamoun Alhamadsheh. |
Essential Functions |
The position must exercise:
- Developing new synthetic organic chemistry routes for drug targeting and delivery.
- Performing in vitro and in vivo pharmacokinetic studies on drug conjugates.
- Proficiency in analytical chemistry methods (HPLC and LCMS).

Minimum Qualifications |
- Received a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Chemical Biology within the past two (2) years.
- Three (3) years of experience in synthetic organic chemistry, biochemistry, and pharmacokinetic studies.
- One or more (1+) peer-reviewed publications as first or senior author in an internationally recognized journal.

- Experience in analytical chemistry methods (HPLC and LCMS).
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Hiring Range |
$68,640 per year. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. |
