Position Description:
Purpose
Performs all the functions associated with the maintenance of new or existing interior and exterior finishes of MCW buildings. Partner with other areas of Facilities to provide backup and additional support.
Primary Functions
- Apply paint, enamel, stain or lacquer to decorate, protect, finish or refinish interior or exterior surfaces, trim and fixtures of buildings and interior rooms.
- Patch and paint damaged wall areas, prepare surfaces using proper techniques for application of paint.
- Tape and finish gypsum board wall surfaces.
- Order paint and supplies and maintain inventory.
- Assist other areas of Facilities (Carpenters) on installation of casework or construction of labs and offices.
- Must be able to lift 25 Ibs. Without restrictions
- Help move and install steel upper and lower laboratory casework
- Will provide support in the areas of rough or finish carpentry experience, acoustical tile replacement as well as floor tile replacement and install.
- Complete FSO requests and conduct minor repairs
- Remove and hang pictures and plaques.
Preferred Schedule:
7a - 3:30p M-F
