- Assist in designing and configuring network hardware across copper, fiber optics, and wireless technologies.
- Learn and apply network design concepts, focusing on 5G validation, ORAN, and cloud RAN protocols.
- Troubleshoot and maintain WAN circuits, including DIA, Broadband, Starlink, Cellular, and POTS lines.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to analyze system performance and suggest impactful improvements.
- Execute tests in end-to-end 5G labs, ensuring optimal data and voice transmission across networks.
- Contribute to the evolution of communication infrastructure with innovative testing methodologies.
- Embrace continuous learning by exploring emerging tech in 5G, IoT, and cloud computing spaces.
- Develop critical skills in network security, enhancing the robustness of communication systems.
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Passion for technology with foundational knowledge of telecommunications
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing and routing
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative mindset
- Ability to work flexibly, context-switching as needed to manage diverse tasks
It would be nice if you also had:
- Understanding of telecommunications principles and networking protocols (TCP/IP)
- Experience in analyzing and solving technical problems related to network performance
- Proficient in data analysis, identifying trends, and developing actionable solutions
- Knowledge of Python scripting and automation tools
- Previous Nokia internship or co-op experience is beneficial
