Position Title: Event Volunteer: Stoke Patrol Team

Business Unit: Events

Position Reports to: Events & Partnerships Manager, Events Specialist, Events Coordinator

Location: Crystal Mountain, WA

This is an unpaid volunteer position with a minimum requirement of 60 hours to be completed before Memorial Day.

JOB SUMMARY

Event Volunteers for the Stoke Patrol Team will assist in the execution and logistical needs of events that uphold the Crystal brand and values. This role plays an important part in bringing Crystal Mountain's brand to life by embodying its personality and identity-authentic, confident, inclusive, playful, adventurous, skilled, human, and honest-at our live guest-facing events.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Highly detail-oriented and able to multi-task

Handle guest questions and set expectations

Professional communication skills are mandatory

The position requires a mature, dependable, flexible, team-oriented person who is able to stay calm under pressure

Must be available for varied shifts and days of the week, including mid-week

Ability to ski or ride is preferred

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate in the production of one (1) summer event at Crystal Mountain (June - September)

Participate in the production of events and/or activations at Crystal Mountain for a minimum of 60 hours per winter season throughout the 25/26 winter season (November - May)

Mandatory availability:

November 8, 2025 (season kick-off event)

All weekends in April

Assist with all phases of event execution, including but not limited to:

Event set-up and breakdown (tables, tents, signage, decor, activity stations, etc.)

Supporting vendor load-in and load-out logistics

Coordinating with event leads to maintain a safe and efficient event site

Engage with guests throughout the event by creating a welcoming, lively, and positive environment, which may include:

Greeting and assisting guests with directions and information

Encouraging participation in activities, socializing with attendees, and fostering community connections

Supporting guest-facing experiences such as dancing, games, and interactive programming to elevate event energy

Tag @crystalmountain (and #crystalmountain) on all posts + stories; Location tag Crystal Mountain Resort on posts and stories

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA:

Respond to guest inquiries in a professional and timely manner, and manage guest expectations

General understanding of resort operation hours, venues, services and events, or where to direct guests for more information for guest services purposes

Willingness to learn and share feedback and other information with team and management

Uphold company and departmental policy at all times; demonstrate support for company mission and values

Willingness and ability to be part of and contribute to a successful team

Work under stressful conditions without creating tension among fellow employees, vendors, and supervisors

Communicate in a pleasant and efficient manner

Present company policy diplomatically

Utilize good verbal communication skills and phone etiquette

Willing to accept new and varied responsibilities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Office Environment:

Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 50 pounds per shift

Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting, bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis

Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees
