| Sr. PT/EV Manager Hyundai's North America Quality Center (NAQC) is looking for a Senior Manager for the PT (Powertrain) and EV (Electric Vehicle) Department of the Investigation Team I Group The Team: NAQC is the quality arm for Hyundai Motor Group (HMG)'s North American vehicle models. NAQC seeks to further Hyundai's goal of becoming the leading automotive manufacturer in North America by delivering uncompromising quality and exceeding consumer expectations. The Position: The Sr. PT/EV Manager would oversee the development and enhancement of powertrain and EV systems for Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia vehicles by supporting the Powertrain Systems and Electric Vehicle Teams with resolving powertrain and EV-related issuesWhat You Will Do: 
    
 Understand, follow,and continually communicate with one's direct reports the department's business model, strategic direction, purpose, and missionSet department-related goals and objectives that align with NAQC's direction. Then, drive execution, engagement, and results to accomplish them.Manage the department's plan, strategy, and budget allocation/usageDevelop the department's resources and capabilitiesMentor and support direct reportsCollect, analyze, triage, and prioritize quality initiatives for NAQC and its businesspartnersFoster inner-team collaboration and knowledge sharing through transparent communicationPrepare and present reports of department-related findings/insights for upper management to reviewEstablish and adhere to validation test processes & documentationMonitor external databases related to safety and product feedback, investigating and reporting when neededProvide pre- and post-launch technical support and participate in various product evaluation programs with NA sales affiliates and assembly plantsSupport dealers and vendors with powertrain and EV-related issuesOversee supplier audits to ensure NA meets HMG's quality standardsRemain current with market trends and new technologiesCoordinate various quality improvement activities to reduce costs and enhance overall HMG brand qualityCollaborate with the appropriate stakeholders (i.e., HMG R&D, suppliers, other quality departments, etc.) to resolve complex, quality-related issuesTravel up to 30% of the time, both domestically and internationally
What You Will Bring to the Role: 
    
 Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related discipline15+ years of experience working with powertrain and EV systems5+ years of experience managing engineersQA/QC/QI experienceWorking knowledge of vehicle communication networks and DAQ tools (e.g., ETAS INCA, Intrepid VehicleSpy, Vector CAN, and Ethernet Suites)Root cause analysis skillsExperience conducting field and on-site investigationsFamiliarity with performing testing, validation, research, and benchmarking activities/tasks concerning powertrain and EV systemsAbility to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersExcellenttime management, self-management, and organization skillsStrong written, oral, and interpersonal skillsValid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record
