DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision of the Manager of Outpatient Psychiatry Services La Jolla in a dyad leadership structure with the Program Director of the College Mental Health Program, the College Mental Health Therapist - College Mental Health Program provides all aspects of psychosocial mental and behavioral health services including primarily brief short-term individual and group therapy, diagnostic evaluations, assessments, treatment planning, care coordination, and case management. Interviews patients and facilitates discussion around diagnosis and treatment planning. Provides case coordination, client advocacy, and brokerage to obtain services as needed. Serve as liaison with other Psychiatry Division providers. Participates in multi-disciplinary treatment team. The therapist will specifically carry a caseload of UCSD College Students and collaborate closely with CAPS and our UCSD collaborative team members.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's Degree in related area

  • A valid California license as a mental health provider (LMFT, LCSW or LPCC) in good standing.

  • A minimum of two (2) years post licensure experience in providing psychotherapy.

  • Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
