OPERATIONS SUPPORT LEAD
JOB SUMMARY

The Operations/Project Support Lead plays a critical role in supporting the ASRC Energy Services Construction team and will work closely with the Construction Manager and field superintendents to ensure effective execution of day-to-day operations and field projects. This position will also supervise, mentor, and guide a team of 4-6 field administrative support members.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Provide overall support to the Construction Manager and Field Superintendents to ensure smooth daily operations and project execution across North Slope projects.
  • Collaborate with the Construction Manager to assess project support needs, reallocate manpower and equipment across multiple projects, and manage logistical support, including billeting and flight coordination.
  • Support project controls by managing project and employee data, assisting with financial billing processes, and handling requests for proposals (RFPs), including data collection, schedule creation, and rate verification.
  • Liaise with HR, HSET, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure project work requirements are met and field support is provided.
  • Manage project setup, maintain client communication, and provide ongoing support to meet client needs.
  • Assist team in developing projects from initiation through closeout, including document generation, scope development, schedule creation, budget documentation, and project planning.
  • Support the development of project deliverables, ensuring alignment with project goals and requirements.
  • Clearly communicate project milestones, deliverables, and expectations to team members to foster alignment and accountability.
  • Schedule meetings, participate in project discussions, and generate notes and reports to support planning, budgeting, and execution.
  • Assist in tracking project progress, monitoring tasks, and providing updates on action items and performance metrics.
  • Foster collaboration among project team members to ensure tasks are completed and deliverables are produced efficiently.
  • Make occasional field trips to the North Slope to support project activities.
  • Support last-minute project changes and address immediate needs to maintain project momentum.
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
  • Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field (or equivalent experience in the oil and gas industry)
  • 5+ years of experience in operations or project support roles
  • Proven ability to lead a team of administrative support staff
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, P6, and Oracle
  • Experience managing logistics, including billeting, flight coordination, and resource allocation in remote environments
  • Ability to handle last-minute changes, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions, team coordination, and report generation


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience working in Project Controls or Project Accounting
  • Experience working in the oil and gas industry
  • Prior experience working on the North Slope
  • Advanced in P6, Oracle, SAP

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have their own accommodations and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

A candidate must be able to meet the following non-exclusive requirements:



  • Meet the ASRC Energy Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy.
  • Take and pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both UA and hair testing.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this position including working in a remote location under arctic conditions.
  • Required to take and pass a Fit-For-Duty Exam
  • Required to complete and successfully pass a background check.
