Application Window Open date: August 4, 2025 Next review date: Wednesday, Sep 3, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Thursday, Feb 4, 2027 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description FOOT AND ANKLE SERVICE (ACADEMIC POSITION) The UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is recruiting for multiple Orthopaedic Foot/Ankle Surgeons to provide diagnostic and interventional management with the full spectrum of musculoskeletal diagnoses. The selected candidates will be appointed to the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank of the Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Clinical X, or In Residence faculty series. The selected candidates will be expected to collaborate in investigative work that leads to publications in peer-reviewed journals and participate in both didactic and bedside teaching and mentoring activities for our medical students, residents, and fellows. The positions will be based at UCSF locations such as Mission Bay, Marin, and San Mateo, but will have full access to all UCSF sites and academic resources. Requirement:

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay, determined by academic rank and step at the time of appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary for this position is $154,700. This position is governed by the UC Health Sciences Compensation Plan, APM-670 (https://ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf), which allows for eligibility for negotiated additional compensation. As such, the total negotiated salary (including base and negotiated components) can be significantly higher and can range up to $900,000, depending on individual qualifications, clinical productivity, and other factors assessed at the time of offer.
