This Position reports to:

Global Procurement & Logistics Manager

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support regional sourcing initiatives either under the leadership of a regional category manager or independently if under a defined threshold. Purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and terms. Ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power Division in North America. This position will be located in Cary, NC.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Supports the development and implementation of regional sourcing strategies in close alignment with the regional Category leader. Creates local contract amendments to frame agreements on behalf of a country and updates and maintains frame contracts.
  • Working in close collaboration with the Electrification business stakeholders on the identification and realization of savings opportunities and translating them into sourcing events.
  • Negotiates agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews pricelists, terms and conditions, and creates analytical report based upon spend.
  • Supports regional sourcing initiatives within a defined set of categories, working closely with key stakeholders to implement regional category strategies. Runs benchmark studies for the category team and for specific sourcing initiatives.
  • Runs regional sourcing initiatives under a defined threshold. Initiates purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the Purchase Requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors and tracks supplier performance to purchase order requirements.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelors Degree - International trade, Business Management, Industrial engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in Indirect Procurement and in sourcing projects for Administration and General Services required
  • Proven financial and business acumen and capability in negotiation, change management and stakeholder management
  • SAP Ariba, Microsoft Excel and PPT. (PowerBI preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills and project management skills with an ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver complex strategic initiatives, in a truly global, fluid, interactive environment
