This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Coordinator III to join our team in Kent, WA. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our facilities, directly contributing to the advancement of space exploration.

As a Facilities Coordinator III, you will be an integral part of a passionate and accomplished team responsible for the comprehensive maintenance of all facility infrastructure and equipment. This includes managing critical systems such as HVAC, fire suppression and detection, lighting controls, electrical, plumbing, generators, and compressed air. Your dedication and commitment will be essential in supporting our mission

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute in-house maintenance and repair tasks for facility equipment, and coordinate with external contractors as needed.
  • Coordinating and overseeing routine maintenance of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, etc.)
  • Responding to and resolving facility-related issues and repair requests (e.g., leaky faucets, broken light fixtures, temperature control).
  • Scheduling and supervising external contractors for specialized repairs or larger projects.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and contractor information (often using a CMMS - Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Act as the primary liaison with external system suppliers for specialized services, including fire suppression, elevators, compressors, backflows, and various plumbing tasks.
  • Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies.
  • Sourcing, evaluating, and managing relationships with vendors and contractors (e.g., cleaning services, security, landscaping, waste management, specialized technicians).
  • Maintain organized shop and facility supplies, ensuring easy accessibility and coordinating efforts with relevant personnel.
  • Provide support in the planning and expansion of Blue Origin facilities to meet evolving operational needs.
  • Deliver general technical and mechanical support across the facility as requested.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of practical experience in industrial facilities, industrial project management, and/or construction management.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in HVAC and thorough understanding of systems (VRF, Chiller, RTU, dry cooler, etc.)
  • Demonstrated familiarity with OSHA 10/30 industrial safety standards.
  • Proficient working knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), such as Maximo, for daily workflow management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of industrial facility infrastructure and comprehensive industrial safety practices.
  • Possesses technical and manufacturing skills, coupled with a creative and flexible approach to problem-solving.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted for extended periods.

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $32.86-$46.01
