DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:

Investigate, review, and analyze incidents. Perform and document after action reports, debriefings, and proactive and response related risk assessments. Review video footage, access control data, conduct interviews, and other information gathering tools and techniques to obtain and report factual information. Present findings and effectively communicate with appropriate stakeholders and outside authorities. Collaborate with departments in performing risk and threat assessments for all areas of MU Health Care. Compile documentation with analysis of problems or areas of concerns, current security practices, and develop specifications, potential solutions, and recommendations for implementation that will reduce risk and increase security.

In accordance with investigative standards, review and assess security and other related reports related to violence other incidents, seeking data for trending, tracking, and follow up. Ensure proper and accurate data collection for the Clery Act, CMS, or other regulatory requirements. Complete preliminary contact in accordance with organizational standards and policies for any HR related matters such as Title IX, Title VII and other HR covered cases to Employee Relations. Complete investigations for allegations of Abuse & Neglect incidents for determination by regulatory affairs in accordance with organizational standards and policies. Provide security awareness and education programming and education to MU Health Care personnel as determined by assessment or request.

Manage a broad set of related activities, including content creation for employee publications, facilitate marketing campaigns, create timelines and infographics or dashboards, and help to plan outreach, awareness, and educational events. Adhere to University of Missouri System, campus, healthcare and departmental policies and procedures. Perform related duties as assigned, which may include duties outside area of responsibility with oversight. Execute emergency responsibilities including on-call for weekends, holidays, and after hours as designated. May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.

Two (2) years of healthcare security or law enforcement experience.

Personal driver's license; Missouri license within thirty (30) days of Missouri residency.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and may require ambulating, remaining in a stationary position and positioning self to reach and/or move objects above the shoulders and below the knees. The employee may frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 lbs and occasionally move objects up to 25 lbs. This role may also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
