GENERAL FUNCTION:

Performs moderately complex analysis and other work assignments in support of Treasury activities while developing technical expertise within the Treasury discipline. Typically aligned to one of the following departmental functions: Asset/Liability, Funding/Liquidity or Investment Portfolio.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs moderately complex analysis and work assignments for one of the following departmental functions:

Asset/Liability Function

• Provides analysis related to balance sheet, NII and risk management, working with management on complex assignments.
• Develops ALM, QRM and other modeling capabilities; Assists in creating assessments.

Funding/Liquidity Function

• Assists in managing and trading the banks required reserve position, works independently for less complex transactions.
• Assists in developing alternate wholesale funding strategies / improve liquidity.
• Assists with the liquidity stress testing process and liquidity planning.
• Provides analysis to assist in managing and analyzing the banks funding and liquidity position.

Investment Portfolio Function

• Coordinates operational and analytical processes associated with purchasing and selling securities for the investment portfolio, works independently on less complex processes.
• Provides analysis to assist in the management of the portfolio.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Bachelors degree in Finance or Economics required.
• Typically requires 2 -4 years of Finance-related experience, Treasury experience preferred. Financial services / banking industry experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, modeling, and database skills. Experience with ALM modeling software desired (QRM preferred) for those aligned to Asset/Liability function.
• Significant database experience preferred.
• Knowledge of investment securities, capital markets, and various money market products including fed funds, repurchase agreements, commercial paper, certificates of deposit, and banknotes.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and become proficient with computer software, analytical and data base management tools.
• Proven ability to independently manage multiple assignments and demonstrated initiative.
• Demonstrated proficiency in critical thinking, leadership, business acumen, relationship building and teamwork.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, and temperature.
• Extended viewing of CRT screen.
