Job Purpose: The senior-level Mechanical Design Engineer will participate in the mechanical development of data storage and server systems consisting of numerous hard drives with high speed communication interfaces. The project teams consist of cross-functional personnel and as a member your creative thinking and judgment will contribute to the overall resolution of technical, logistical, cost, and schedule issues for the program. This is a high-impact, high visibility opportunity for the right individual who has developed a substantial skill-set, has good self-management abilities, a can-do attitude and an enthusiasm for success. Nature of Duties/Responsibilities: * Advanced level design work - participate in various server and storage enclosures and sub-assemblies designs including
* Perform design simulations to ensure "right-the-first-time" designs. * Transport rack and crate design, prototype and validation * Component drawing and BOM system creation * Mechanical execution of tests and publication of test results * Work with outside suppliers as necessary to meet cost targets and schedules * Contribute to design process enhancements. * Domestic and international travel may be required support manufacturing and componentfabrication. Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer Salary Range(annual): $115,000 - $140,000 Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
